AeroWeather Lite provides fast and intuitive access to METARs and TAFs for airports around the world. The data can be displayed in its original (raw) format or as fully decoded and easy to understand text. AeroWeather Lite is useful for pre-flight weather briefings, but also for just getting very accurate weather. All weather data is cached for offline access. There are many settings for the units and format of METAR / TAF available. The app has a built-in airport database, which includes basic airport data like sunrise / sunset, twilight times, time zones, etc. AeroWeather Lite offers built-in groups for nearby stations, today widget and earthquakes. Depending on your needs, groups can be shown or hidden in the main list view. METAR alert notifications ** are a useful feature to stay up to date. Set multiple alerts for each station with the following criteria: flight rule (US NOAA), wind speed, temperature, pressure, current weather, visibility, and ceiling (BKN and OVC). Notifications will be sent to your device if the criteria are met (for example, when the wind is greater than / equal to 10 knots, the flight rule becomes IFR). Dedicated METAR / TAF ** access is available as an option. METAR / TAF data is primarily sourced from a certified ANSP (Air Navigation Service Provider) and is delivered reliably and quickly from our dedicated and redundant servers (indicated by a blue check mark under METAR / TAF). The AeroPix feature offers users the ability to quickly take pictures of the weather at their current location. The images will be available to all other pilots (on the map or in a detailed view of the airport) helping them to get a better idea of ​​local conditions. AeroPix should be especially useful where there is no or insufficient webcam coverage.
