My Altitude Features and Description
My Altitude uses GPS signals to determine your current location, altitude (height above sea level), barometric pressure, and the boiling point of water. This app does not need an internet connection and works best outdoors. By default it uses the device’s sensor to determine altitude, but you also have the option of using NOAA data files to get the altitude for your location. On newer devices, the use of the device’s sensor is more accurate. It also allows you to get a picture of where you are and save it in a photo album. The image will be sealed with the coordinates of the current location as well as the altitude and the room date/time. Barometric pressure is calculated based on the elevation. On newer devices such as iPhone 6/6 +, the value is provided directly from the barometric sensor built into the device. Enjoy.
